Bolt Missile-Third Flight

Bolt 3rd Flight.csvDescription
Strange flight. I angled the launch rail 5 deg into the wind and the rocket took off and went the opposite direction, with the wind. Ended up landing 1/2 mile northeast of the pad.
Weather report was for light and variable winds so maybe it was just bad timing and the winds changed right before launch. It was a long hot walk through overgrown and swampy fields to recover. Glad I brought a change of socks and shoes so I didn't squish walk the rest of the day.
It also went over 1,700' higher than my sim.

You got this...
Nice altitude you've got, love the looks of the rocket.

Nice flight! Was the field mushy too?
My son and I both had to change our soaked shoes and socks after the recovery. Rocket landed in about 3" of water but the overgrown grass kept it from getting too wet.
The field we launch from was wet and the grass was 3' high in some places but I didn't see any standing water outside of the ditches.
Wiw, didn't know it was that wet out there...
