HELL CAT II - NINTH FLIGHT

Ok Still sad about the loss of my other rocket that I launched in October 2021 Tomach ! Lost a lot of nice equipment . But just want to go back and search for it again, hope that Jason can join me, he might have another eye on finding it.

Update 11/15/2021 - Selected the motor already. Just low and slow for now, till I have my RTX tracker back. Will use a one month subscription om Whistle, Since they switch over to 5G the older whistle will not work anymore next year ! Hoping to have my RTX this month or this year ! Weather looks good, a bit strong winds for now in the forecast.

Update 11/16/2021 - Stratologgers tested all OK, Nexus 5 charging. Will continue prepping on Wednesday. Have a 4 grain casing ready with two spacers. Using a 2 grain motor, lost my 3 grain casing.

Update 11/17/2021 - Prepped the bottom part of the rocket, Motor with double O-rings, all greased up. In 4 grain casing with two spacers. Charge 2 gram on bottom of booster above the motor with dog-barf, Chute protector with streamer on top, slides very smooth, all connected. Dog-barf on top, 2 Z-ties. Next will be the upper bay with chute and charges, all charges are made already ! Also I noticed that the motor was repacked...and re-taped, But after examination it all looks and smells ok.

Update 12/03/2021 - Folded the streamer again, after the successfullaunch of Ultra Violent Express at GRITS field, Ga. Streamer and motor loaded and dog barf and chute protector on bottom, Charge is embedded in the casing were the two spacers meet.

Update 11/18/2021 - Prepped my rocket, charges on AvBay, chute in chute protector all folded up with 1 big Z-tie. Charging all camera batteries and video batteries. Dog barf in upper bay and two sheer pins installed. Weather started to look horrible with rain and 17 mph winds !!! Phone Nexus 5 is charging also.

Update 11/19/2021 - The Launch for tomorrow 11/20/2021 is cancelled, High winds and rain in the forecast. Hoping for the December launch is a GO !

Update 11/28/2021 - Used the casing and streamer for another launch at GRITS/Turkey launch yesterday. Ultra Violent flew great and recovery was on the field. Cleaned the casing and installed the motor into the rocket already for a December launch and to see Carlos to recover my Tomach rocket that was lost ! Still need to refold the 150 feet streamer and get it in there. Upper bay is already prepped and closed off with dog barf. Also *new* Nexus 4 phone came in and tested with the updated IR v. 8.2. All working great, video and speech loud nd clear.

Update 12/18/2021 - LAUNCH DAY - Great day, a bit more wind than expected, but still great launch weather and 50% cloud cover. Jason was there and Tim also. Recovered my ToMach rocket pieces from Carlos. Jason was first in line to launch but got delayed. So his flight went great to 9K+ and recovery was nearby on the edge of the field on the East side. I loaded my rocket and Florence made again a bunch of pictures while I was prepping the rocket and also taking it to the pad and loading on the rail - E2 - All went smooth prepping and loading phone and Gopro on Shock cord. Rocket went straight up to around 2000 feet and deployed the streamer, Was an amazing sight to watch that unfold at lower altitude. Took a lot of pictures of the whole event and rocket landed nearby close to the pad. Got big sheer from the crowd. It was indeed wonderful to watch. Easy recovery no damage. When home I also noticed that one charge did not go off, will have to investigate that closeby because that worries me for a next flight. Have phone video recording and also Gopro chock cord video and ground video's. Again a beautiful day and great to be there with Jason. Whistle GPS worked fine and got signal in no time on the field, Will use that for the January launch as well until the RTX comes in...

Update 12/19/2021 - Jason just sent me the whole raw video of his phone recording @ 4K of my entire flight !! Love it ! Also it does not seem that I have a good data file from the Nexus 4 in the IR folder. Will try next time again. Video recording is great.
