Rocket selected for the December launch at SRA. Will have iPhone, streamer, RTX and main chute. Will check the rocket again, since it had damage in the previous flight.
Update 11/22/2022 - According my Rocket page, the lightning rocket is all fixed and repainted. Have to be very carefully loading the rocket with streamer and RTX and camera. If things do not fit I will use a drogue chute. And maybe another chute to test the chute release again...
Update 11/24/2022 - Did some prepping, Z-ties already made. Motor charge made and taped up in dog barf. Selected a 60" parachute and the 85 feet streamer. Charges are already installed 1.8 - 2.0 gram Main and 2.0 gram drogue, The 2.4 gram charge is in the booster. The RTX tracker will be in the front bay with the 50" main chute. There should be just enough space for the GoPro camera.
Update 11/25/2022 - Installed the motor, greased up and doubled the O rings, still have to cut the triangle.
Update 11/26/2022 - Tested the stratologgers today, all good to go, will replace those 9 v batteries next time.
Update 11/27/2022 - Packed the main chute, folded it and tried it in the upper bay with the RTX, have to find a better casing and smaller for the RTX so it fits in there better. Will make a new one.
Update 12/04/2022 - Made a new casing for the RTX that is a bit smaller and that will fit in this skinny rocket better ... I hope. Hope it all works great. The RTX will be in the upper bay with the main chute.
Update 12/16/2022 - It's a NO GO for me, was seeing possibility of rain the whole week, and now the last minute it seems to get better for the launch tomorrow !! Dam weather reports !!!! It's a long drive for funny weather situations so I'm not ready !! Dam Dam Dam !!
Update 12/17/2022 - LAUNCH DAY - NO GO - Had the whole week a totally wrong weather report !!! Was not prepared for the event. Dam Weather turned out great !!!
