Adventurer 3.orkDescription
Built this one for my Level 2. Black fiberglass is currently unpainted but that may change in the future.I beveled the fins using a jig made from a cheap tile saw and added a switchband to the AV bay. Nosecone was modified with a 38mm phenolic tube so I can swap a tracker between this and other rockets. AV bay was built with dual altimeters (Eggtimer Quantum and RRC2+) and Dog House charge wells.

Wow, that's a beast !!
Finished construction and ground tested deployment charges today (10/28/2017).
I'm planning a shakedown flight at the NEFAR November launch. If all goes well I'll attempt my Level 2 with it in Dec.
Good luck! I'll be there to see both! What motor for shakedown?

I was planning the shakedown on an I-165 C-Star. After plugging in my final weight into Open Rocket and running sims, I'm going to need to scrap that idea because thrust/weight ratio is too low for my comfort with an I impulse motor unless it's the winds are just super calm (unlikely in Nov). Once I accounted for my overbuilding, added batteries and other parts for dual altimeters and tracker I was almost a pound heavier than I anticipated. The new plan is to go for Level 2 in Nov with a J-250 SK.
