Below is the unskinned camera facing side with primary electronics(middle) and batteries(bottom). The wiring is RF shielded security wire: View from top - The black electrical tape near batteries is to keep the wires contained so they don't get caught up as I insert the bay into the fuselage: This is the side facing away from the camera. The rope you see in front of the electronics is part of the complete loop that wraps the entire electronics bay. The electronics you see are is the backup(middle) and batteries(bottom). The batteries for the two computers are completely isolated, so the primary computer has its own power source and wiring and the backup computer has its own power source and wiring: From the images, you can tell I had to do some cutting customizations after "final print". Most of these customizations have made their way back into the master print file and I intend translate all of them. I've never had this lack space in any of my previous endeavors. It proved to be quite challenging. This is the electronics bay inside the bay fuselage. I do not have the securing bolts in place: Here is a close-up of the aft bulkhead connectors for the wiring: More details about the kevlar rope loop: Above the bay is the nosecone and the nosecone contains the drogue chute. When the drogue chute is deployed, another kevlar rope attaching to the drogue chute and connecting to the nosecone links to the loop at the top of the bay. Below the bay is the aft section of the fuselage, motor, and fins. When the main parachute is deployed, another kevlar rope attaching to the main parachute and connecting to the aft section links to the loop at the bottom of the bay. In this way, the entire rocket with all parts of the rocket are held together by very strong kevlar rope. This is very important, if things go unplanned catastrophic, the entire rocket is most-likely held together even with extreme forces. If the forces are too great, the rocket is likely to disintegrate rather than parts coming down ballistic (like a projectile-dangerous). | ||||||||||||||
