I remember it broke during moves and I threw it away. I wish I would have fixed it and kept it. I really worked hard to remove the balsa, plastic, and cardstock appearance from it - and it turned out to be a really nice build!
I have none of my original rockets from this era.
On the far left, the Starblazer x20 was one of the last rockets I built and I loved it. Instead of looking like cardstock and balsa, it was smooth and really showed how far my building skills had progressed.
That's why, even though estes no longer makes it, I decided to make my own here:
The one in the hyperlink (built in 2017) has one added detail that I didn't know how to do back then. Get an automotive like glass reflective smoothness.
