WM jr 2stage flite 6.csvDescription
Could have been a better flight. Good boost but sustainer never lit. Pyrogen fired but motor did not light. Not sure why. Recovery on sustainer was perfect. On the other hand, the booster recovery failed all around. Booster has altimeter for apogee & motor eject for backup. It came in hot & took a core sample. The motor ejection fired but ISC must have been jammed. Haven't been able to remove ISC yet. Need to clean it up & see what happened. Booster appears to be fully intact with no damage.
Edited: Was able to get the ISC out of booster. Upon impact, the bulk heads in the ISC were pushed about 3" aft. Further inspection revealed both apogee & motor ejection charge did fire. My guess the shear pins got stuck & cocked the coupler. Really note sure at this point. JLCR did release but now seems dead. RF tracker seems dead. Will try new battery. PET2 timer trashed. ISC can be rebuilt but different design.
