Gary Dahlke's Excellent launch! This rocket launch should be tagged as SUCCESS but I have it set to PENDING so it doesn't add to my stats since it isn't my rocket.
There was no tall ladder at the field, so Gary climbed on top of a flimsy gulf cart roof to arm the flight systems.
According to eye-witnesses, the first stage parachute opened, and then almost immediately collapsed. It came down hard and bounced. Damage to the lower stage of rocket was minimal.
Everything worked perfect with the upper stage.
The data returned is fantastic! You clearly see first stage motor burnout, stage separation charge, and full burn of the upper stage. GPS telemetry and G shock calculation data are very good as well.
From rocket (onboard) videos are in 4K. Press play and then tap the gear icon to up the resolution. If playback becomes jumpy, it's taking too much cpu/bandwidth - lower the resolution some.
