Lining up this rocket for a spin correction flight on a fast 3 grain motor.
Update 05/01/2017 - Charges made Drogue 1.8 and 2.2 back up - Main 1.8 and 2.2 back up. Also untangled the 24" drogue chute and the 50" Main (No spill hole) I will be using.
Update 05/11/2017 - No launch on Saturday, Major burn ban all over the state, lots of wildfires going right now, we respect the decision of the Fire Marshal. So no launch in Florida and Georgia. Also no rain in the forecast for the next week. Launch postponed till June!....
Update 06/19/2017 - No launch on Saturday. June 10 - Burn Ban was still in effect. Postponednow forJune24 ! Very wet and rainyfor the last few weeks and still more to come, Hope we can Launch on Saturday !!
Update 06/20/2017 - Charges the RTX Lipo batteries, also checked the stratologgers, all good 9.30 + Volts ! RTX responds great also on the phone app, map and compass ! all good to go.
Update 06/21/2017 - Loaded the parachutes in the rocket. Upper part has already the sheer-pinsin.
Update 06/22/2017 - Main Charges installed, some dog-barf in upper-bay, Drogue charges installed.
Update 06/23/2017 - Car all loaded up, tomorrow morning the last electronics and camera's in the car, and lots of drinks. It will be a very hot day with almost no winds. Just perfect.
Update 06/24/2017 - Glorious Launch day, very hot and not much wind and clear skies ! Only a few flyers out there on the field. Bernie was there so I bought my J449 BS motor there. Tim launches like 5 rockets. Pad were open all the time, very relaxed no stress launch day ! My rocket went up great with the blue motor ! Straight up and landed in the North field halfway. They were cutting the grass there so got my rocket just in time before the mower got it ! haha. Easy recovery, sweaty weather and hot... Did drink like 5 Gatorade! Also great pictures and some on board video and ground video.
Update 06/25/2017 - According Jason the Phone temperature was around 136 F that's 4 F degrees away from shutting down at 140 F ! The stratologgers recorded 107 F degrees !
