SoAR-Turkey and GRITS 2017-11-25

Just emailed SOar for the Turkey launch event on Saturday 25th of November, to let them know that I will be launching on an L935 motor to 17 K.. Waiting fore their response.

The difference is how far above sea level the site is.18k gives them a buffer I'm sure, and I don't blame them.

The field is very small. I get nervous on anything over 10k. You have a good chance of being treed like what happened to Freddy last time, and me the time before. In Freddy's case, he had to wait days, and if it rained hard, who knows how his electronics would have held out. In my case, the rocket wasn't up too high and I was able to recover within an hour or so

If the waiver was only 15k, I'd choose LaBelle over it every time(for launching high). But their waiver is higher, and that makes it tempting, and the only place Freddy can launch his high mach, high altitude bird. I like the field, but I don't think it will see any launches of my Nutcracker on Ms.

I wish LaBelle's waiver were higher. Man, I'd be launching some stuff!
