Mercury Redstone
Description
1:71 Scale original Estes Kit K-41. Scratch built from plans in 2006. The mercury capsule is interchangeable with my Atlas Booster so I changed the decaling to read Freedom 7 instead of Friendship 7. The capsule has an independent 8 inch chute tied at the base and at the tower so that it will land sideways and not tower down. B6-2 motor seems to work best and will get 350 feet.
