Once deployment occured, damage near bottom of white section was caused by drogue chute drag at high speed snapping a rocket going up at full throttle. Something had to give. In this case, it was the lower joint bolted to the bay coupler. I'm surprised the bay didn't splinter and shatter. The bay still has all of its strength and no fractures that I can find by pressing for weak points.
The glass is cracked. That occured on landing when the phone screen was destroyed (phone is fully operational w/ new screen).
Not a ton of work to repair bay section, easier than repairing a zipper. I still may make a new bay section just to be safe. Nose is in perfect shape.
I will make some modificiations to insure that both upper and lower rocket parts stay together, even under extreme conditions by adding a kevlar loop going through the bay itself.
