Did not launch on
1) August 8, 2015 - Weather forecast was bad and to many clouds and windy, But it turned out great that day and I was not prepared ! I was a weenie that day also...
2) Will try 2nd attempt on September 12, 2015 (forecast doesn't look good) - also using Michael's X-Form parachute. Nop, again no launch for me, to cloudy 100% cover and wind start to pick up, not good for a 6000 feet flight !!!
3) Another try on October 10, 2015 - Hoping for great clear skies !! And Yes, skies were not great in the early morning but after an hour of waiting I had a clear patch and it was a perfect launch, a bit of a slow delay take off, probably because of the weight, but it was an awesome sight and sound !!! A bit disappointing in the Altitude and velocity, but hey the rocket was heavy, will try a more powerful motor in a few months. Michael's parachute performed excellent!!!! Had a little burn hole in the drogue. One of the drogue charges was gone, maybe ripped of by the powerful blast. Anyway, really please with the rotation of the rocket also ! It was a bit windy so me and Jason (recovery team) walked about a half mile to retrieve the rocket in an open field nearby ! Great day for me !!! Thanks guys ! Thanks Eric and Jason for the photo's and being there !
Just noticed a bit of abnormally in the Back up battery readout log.
