ULTRA VIOLENT EXPRESS II - FIRST FLIGHT - NO GO - RAIN
2023-07-15 17:03:00ZDescription
Well eh, fixed this rocket in a very short amount of time, So it will be ready to fly in July 2023. Hope that the weather is fine, just want to test out the GPS again and camera's for the Kansas - Airfest Launch..
Update 07/02/2023 - Repaired a broken wall of the battery holder. Will test the stratologgers out for sure. Today RTX GPS tested and working fine.
Update 07/03/2023 - Stratologgers - new batteries and tested out, all good.
Update 07/04/2023 - Loaded the main chute in the nose cone bay, with dog-barf. Also loaded the motor in the 3 Grain casing, applied grease and two extra O-rings front and bottom. Wil wait till the streamer is sewed to apply the charges in and on the Av bay.
Update 07/08/2023 - Streamer all fixed up and ready, the booster charge is installed and also the streamer, had to use another quick-link away from the chute protector. Seems to works better to slide in the streamer, Z-ties made (2). Will install the other charges next week when the launch is a GO.
Update 07/08/2023 - Had to switch the stratologgers, I had stratologgers SL100 coming in which ere the older ones, because the small ones were not available for a long time (?), so the bigger older ones are now on the sled board. I used those smaller ones for the To Mach II rocket, they fit better on that Sled board. Actually it was a lot of hassle doing that and predrill the mounting screws.
Update 07/09/2023 - Tested the new set of SL100 stratologgers out, both performing good.
Update 07/15/2023 - LAUNCH DAY - It showed too much rain possibilities in the forecast - so did not go, stayed home and talked Chinese to my beautiful friend IshaBella.
