AGM-58-Third Flight

AGM-58.csvDescription
This launch was a calamity of errors. Jorge accidentally hit the wrong button and launched it prematurely. I was fiddling with my tracker when I heard a low powered launch announced but heard a high powered roar. I never even got to see it in the air but lucky the tracker got a lock and I was able to watch a little dot drift 1.3 miles across the map on my laptop screen.
I also loaded the wrong motor file in my sim and was expecting to go to 5,500' but ended up going to 8,500 and right into the 40+ mph upper winds I was expecting to stay under. It landed outside of the recovery area, on the edge of a field to the east. One of the locals at the launch knows the land owner and vouched for permission to recover and even offered to accompany me on the recovery in case there were issues.

Hope to see that fly one day in Bunnell ! Take Care and have fun !
Sorry to hear but sounds like it all ended well. Did they launch today or cancel?
Last word from Jorge was that it would be a go today but get an afternoon start. I couldn't make it today so I can't verify anyone was able to launch.
Oh man, that sucks, but luckily you got it back ans 8500 + feet !!! Yeah !!!!!!
