pike flight 2.kmlDescription
This was my L3 cert flight. Went off without a hitch thanks to Jason Cook & Freddy Willems for pad setup & Eric Z. for recovery!
The M1101 had a little less velocity off the pad as compared to the L1115 but the slightly longer burn time gave me more altitude, more than the sims too! RRC3 said 7892' & back-up alt. said 7901'. Only problem was the lower velocity off the pad had a slight wiggle and it ended up flying with the wind. Rocket was aligned with no angle and it arced more than I would have liked. Should have listened to Jason (plus the pad had a bit of looseness too). All deployment charges worked as planned and it landed in a lava field about 1/2 from the pad. Still a successful flight & earned my L3!
Pics to follow!
12/2/16: Finally uploaded pics! Thanks Eric!
