Note that the only instrument working at launch was Barometer. Thank goodness the GPS worked for a short period so I could find it!

So does the problem or bug you had with your locator have any thing to do with Brian Hallets? He never got a fix on his either.
Brian's issue is completely different. His phone never even contacted my server. He also couldn't even use Android's device finder app to locate. It was like having a stratologger in your rocket and never powering it on.
Right now, the issue with my rocket looks like either a hardware issue or due to the android software update. After some additional testing last night, I found my code performed flawlessly. Once my mom leaves I will track down which of those two issues caused it.

Follow-up: It appears Android under OS 8.0.0. BROKE their battery optimization setting. The moment the screen turns off, the device FAILS to perform as the app instructs it to.

Jason, it's always fun taking pictures of you and your prep and launches. They are great flash backs to relive that day !!

I really appreciate your pictures, they really complete the experience! Even more so on this launch since the Android update broke my App - No video, Gs, GPS, Rotation!
