This was a sad day. Launch was perfect & then at 2000 feet - BAM! CATO. Everyone loved it except me haha. Happened so fast, these pics only show the rocket in flight & then debris & recovery. Fin can trashed. It was a AT M1780 motor. I will rebuild it some day.
Another observation I made was that the main was deployed at really high speed & it was completely undamaged. Rocketman makes a killer parachute!
Have contacted AT for warranty info. Hopefully I get new motor & case soon!
By the way, this field is AWESOME, way bigger than GRITS. Nobody lost a rocket or put one in the trees & the wind was really blowing, 15 MPH on the ground & 40 MPH at 10,000 feet!
