A - EXPERIMENTAL MOTOR BUILD

After seeing a few video's for days, I decided to make some experimental sugar motors, will start with a 38 mm size motor an see how that works. Will probably also make an experimental rocket to launch those motors ands not destroying my own fleet.

Update 12/28/2020 - Ordered all my ingredients that will arrive the first week of January 2021. Still need to find an inexpensive cast iron pan and an electric heater. Tests will be conducted in my backyard when the neighbors are sleeping.

Update 12/29/2020 - Started to get the layout for the 54 mm grains. Cut a used 54 mm lines in grain size tubes (2), and installed inside flexible brown paper and pressed that in in the inner walls so that I have an exact grain that fits in the liner after pouring the mix, also need a 3/8" dowel for the core and some vasiline... Ordered also the Red Iron Oxide today from Etsy.

Update 12/31/2020 - Ammonium nitrate came in with UPS today, just a small portion for now like 30 grams

Update 12/31/2020 - Found another 54 mm used liner and cut it also up in 54 mm grain sizes. So probably I will make 4 or 5 - 54 mm grains. Will clean them all up and sand them also smooth.

Update 01/02/2021 - Potassium nitrate 1 pound came in today, 4 bottles. try to figure out how much I need to make one 54 mm grain. 1 grain weight around 224 grams Also did not find Sorbitol in the store, will have to order that also online from Walmart. Still waiting on the IronOxide. Will buy the hot plate, coffee grinder and pan later next week. Hope to make 4 grainsand seal those airtight, and one grain for testing. All good so far.

Update 01/03/2021 - So a 54 mm grain = around 225 grams, that means that theoreticalI have to use 70 grams Sorbitol / 122 grams KNO3 / 6 grams AmmoniumNitrate / 2 grams Iron Oxide, makes 200 grams in total.
